Abstract

Silvy Dwi Rossada (1515.1111.761) “Analysis of the effect of Cash Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio and Earnings Per Share on Dividend Policy in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2015 – 2018”. 118 pages, 50 tables, 14 pictures, 13 attachment, Jakarta, 2019.
Many factors affect the company's dividend policy, dividend distribution decisions are a problem that is often faced by companies. Management often has difficulty deciding whether the company will divide its dividends or will hold profits to be reinvested in order to increase company growth. This research was conducted to find out how much influence the variable Cash Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio and Earning Per Share on the dividend policy of the consumer goods industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2018 period is partially and simultaneously.
This research was conducted at PT. The Indonesia Capital Market Electronic Library has 6 months of research time, starting from March to August 2019. The sample selection in this study uses a purposive sampling method where the company to be studied must meet certain criteria. The number of companies used as research samples based on predetermined criteria is 10 companies.
Data analysis techniques used in this study were descriptive analysis, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 23. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis test Y = 80.222 - 0.239 X1 + 8.767 X2 - 0.005 X3. The results of the partial test show that the variable Cash Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Earning Per Share, simultaneously affect the Dividend Policy. Partially Cash Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Earning Per Share, no effect on Dividend Policy. Based on the research results it is known that R square has an influence of 30 while the remaining 70% is influenced or explained by other variables not included in this research model .
